Outreach days are long and unpredictable. Chilly morning, warm afternoon, cold evening, repeat. Here's what I actually pack. More importantly, here's what I don't because nothing kills your energy faster than schlepping a bag full of useless weight.
The trench. A thin one is perfect for a slight chill, layers easily, and won't look destroyed if you throw it in the trunk between stops. It makes a blah outfit instantly sleek.
The Baggu. Spacious, those fluffy straps don't dig into your shoulder, folds down into itself, and most importantly goes in the wash. Because your bag will end up on the ground during a folding table takedown. It's just a matter of when.
Notebook. Obviously.
The water bottle. Spout when you need a real swig. Straw when you're preserving your lipstick. We love options.
The charger. Mac girl. I need to charge everything without swapping adapters and hunting for cords. This handles it all.
Lume. When you're on the setup crew and the engagement crew, you're going to get sweaty. Lume works everywhere and I mean EVERY. WHERE. Sometimes you need to sneak off and tidy up. These wipes are perfect for exactly that.
Hand sanitizer. Some people are gross. You don't need that in your life.
Burt's Bees. A subtle, moisturizing no-fuss lip color is sometimes perfection.
Because even if you're dragging folding tables and handing out the most hideous giveaways you've ever seen, you can still be cute and comfy. This palette is a vibe and you deserve it.
